Sketches from the last couple of days when the snow was fresh and powdery, perfect for sledging on the nearby golf course. The roads and schools and shops were shut and an unofficial hillside frost-fair appeared! I did these in between my own downhill runs on three separate trips to the course, using mostly ink-brush and some pencil, hanging onto the sketchbook in the high winds; exhilarating fun and great figure drawing practise, everyone silhouetted against the white…

You’ve really captured sledging, better than a camera could. That last picture puts me in mind of a morning sledging with my father-in-law (who was 73 at the time!) and my son 5 years ago. That is pretty much how it was. Happy days 🙂
Thanks Tone, really lovely to hear how the last one resonated with you.
Loved the snow scenes ,inspiring !
Just taken delivery of 2 Muji card cases to have a go at my own travel palette.
Thanks for all the info you post.
Excellent, did you get the deeper ones? Good luck with the build and let me know how you get on, and any improvements/adaptations you make.
