I have been doing a lot of selfies lately, too (it’s the weather! ), and I have a question: Do you normally wear glasses when you draw? Then how did you do the ones that don’t show glasses? Just skip drawing them? I’d like to draw myself not showing the glasses, but it seems like cheating not to draw them when I’m actually wearing them, but taking them off constantly as I draw is tedious. Maybe I’m making this harder than it needs to be. 😉 (Are you really Batman? 😉 )

Thanks Tina. I don’t need to wear the glasses when drawing the selfies, as I’m short-sighted, but sometimes leave them on my head as they’re part of my identity? Or maybe just because I’m too tired to remember that they’re there? Does Batman wear Batglasses?

I tend to look both angry and bored, which is odd, because I’m often at my happiest when sketching!
Oh I agree…I understand….I think it is because of the concentration it takes to sketch a live self portrait. My kids would disagree but I am never angry when I am drawing.
Good grief John, what have you started! I’m clearly furious (see faces above) that my so-called secret identity has been revealed… But maybe Baldman is more accurate?
